CHIRON
Chiron is a comet or asteroid discovered in 1977. Known as the "wounded healer", it is associated with the part of us that is wounded or vulnerable, but also where we have the skill to heal others, if not ourselves. The 'healing' for ourselves, when it finally occurs, with Chiron, seems to be about 'letting go' of the obsession to do so, in many ways. Chiron was discovered between the orbits of Saturn and Uranus, and has also been described as the "bridge" to the outer planets, and as something of a 'maverick'. It has associations with New Age or alternative, complementary forms of healing.
