This page is for me to add pieces of data I dig up occasionally which may not be available elsewhere. Feel free to use the data you find here in research. I've included the sources where possible. AIR CRASHES

Crash of Comair Flight 5191, August 27, 2006, (originally given as around 6:19AM local time), (Lexington to Atlanta) crashed shortly after takeoff from Lexington.
47 passengers and 3 crew members on board. Only the co-pilot, survived. Flight had been scheduled to land in Atlanta: 7:18AM local time.

They have since updated this report and taken off the originally quoted time (above). (Checking today)
The most comprehensive sourced item for the timing of the crash given on Wikipedia seems to be this one: http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/15429895.htm
which states that the crash occurred within 30 seconds of take-off, and gave the timing that the plane was “ready to roll around 6am”, and that it took the wrong runway, one that was too short, and only just cleared the airport boundary fence before crashing into trees and bursting into flames at 6.07am local time.  





Pakistan International Airlines Flight 688, Departed from Multan, Pakistan scheduled to fly to Lahore & Islamabad. Crashed 12.07pm (report gives a few minutes after take off, which was 12.05pm),

July 10th 2006.  Crashed into a field about 3km away from Multan airport.

All 41 passengers and 4 crew dead. The death toll included 2 Lahore High Judges.

31st October 2000, 23.17 local time (Taipei,), Chiang Kai Shek International Airport, Taiwan. (25°4′35″N, 121°13′26″E):

Singapore Airlines Flight SQ006 from Singapore to Los Angeles went onto the wrong runway in bad weather (during Typhoon Xangsane) and crashed into construction equipment. “79 of 159 passengers and 4 of 20 crew members died in the accident.”*

27th June 2004, 6.05pm, at Beacon, near Honiton, Devon, UK

Plane crash of light aircraft (Cesna) from parachute club, killed 4 people at Beacon near Honiton "just after 6pm yesterday evening" - reported Monday 28th June 2004, just b4 11pm, local ITV news.

22nd August 2006, 15.39 Moscow time, Sukha Balka, (48°20′N 37°46′E) Ukraine

Air Crash - Pulkovo Airlines Flight 612, travelling from Anapa, Russia, to St. Petersburg, Russia. It is reported that 170 died in the crash. (160 passengers and 10 crew), but there is some discrepancy in the figures. Though there was bad weather at the time, there was some speculation that the plane climbed to a higher altitude than its maximum. (See Wikipedia link for more details).

OTHER ACCIDENTS

11th May 2004, 12.03pm BST, Glasgow, Scotland. (Reports say “shortly after 12pm”)

Explosion in Glasgow Plastics Factory, killed nine people. Many injured.

July 3rd 2006, Valencia, Spain, 1pm local time. (11am GMT)

Valencia Metro accident, 43 people killed and more than ten seriously injured. Train travelling at more than twice normal speed. Tunnel collapse or wheel defects suspected.
