Full and New Moons are important for you personally when they are 'transiting' a planet or point (the Ascendant or Midheaven, for example) in your chart. The effect is much stronger and more long-lasting if the lunation is a solar eclipse or a lunar eclipse. It's also interesting to watch them travel through the houses in your birth charts as they will have an affect on that area of your life. Generally, New Moons relate to new beginnings, planting the seed, and are a good time for starting a new project, whereas Full Moon is culmination or peak of activity, when something comes to fruition. Activities are best carried out (where you have flexibility of course!) during the 'waxing' moon phase, from new to full, (especially when you begin a project in the first few days after new moon) whereas the 'waning' moon (from full to new again) is good for reflection, rest and completion.

If I've sent you a chart and you want to know which houses are affected in your chart by 2008 new and full moons, just ask

VOID OF COURSE MOON

The Moon is 'void of course'  from when it makes the last aspect in one sign, to the time when it enters a new sign. It is usually suggested not to start any new project during the Moon's void of course period, and to stay with familiar, routine activities. Finish things off, tie up loose ends.

For  2008, the void of course moon periods are listed as follows (Click on the links for details in PDF format):

Please note, time zone is for the UK, so it is either GMD (Greenwich Mean Daylight Time) an hour ahead of GMT, or GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). It can be hard to get hold of void of course moon dates in UK time format on the web, which is why I have created these lists here as a resource.
